The last straw that almost broke the camel's back of FTI

I was initially drawn to take  a look at FTI and their agenda in the wake of awareness about governance in India stirred by the IAC movement. They and especially their chief voice and strategist Sanjeev Sabhlok (SS) had some counter-points to offer about the merits and suitability of the Lokpal or the later Jan Lokpal bill.

As I engaged its chief author in argument and counter-apologetic exercises, I realized how blind these people's faith is in classical liberal ideology. To them all except the FTI and their few idols (most of them in the grave) like Adam Smith, FA Hayek and MK Gandhi (what a combination of characters!) are horrible socialists. According to them all of India is infested with socialists and enemies of liberty from which only this motley crowd of FTI lunatics can rescue the society and nation of India.

Here are some links to some of my serious and sarcastic exchanges with the inimitable SS

I was also decorated with a very 'honorary' mention in one of their recent articles below

In this topic linked below, when I got scathingly critical about their liberal credentials and fanciful proclamations,

SS and his blog lost it all and have now excised all my further responses.

Let me reproduce below the response from me that infuriated them the most

Sanjeev,
I have tried to display all the possible understanding of your theories and wild statements that I am capable of.

But you can have a conversation or dialogue, in spite of the infractions of some of my sarcastic musings, only if you can rid yourself of your delusional attitude that comes through starkly  as much in some of your dismissive responses as in your raving and ranting claims about political and social transformation of India.

While I must thank you for tolerating my comments on your blog and sometime taking it on your chin, that in no way renders you or your supposed incipient 'political revolution' any close to its cherished destination.

Your blog and articles provides an excellent case study on how to get carried away by the delusions of one's ideological rigidity and pronounce pompous and opinionated claims and fanciful promises that are nothing short of hilarious

Despite my best wishes for your 'fledgling' FTI movement  can't resist a parting low aimed blow. You perfectly fit the description of Don Quixote, riding the toothless tiger of BFN, and tilting at the imaginary windmills of  ideology and 'radical' solutions in trying to rescue the distressed damsel of decadent India.

I am really curious to see if the Sancho Panza of  the  FTI movement  will please stand up to shore up his day-dreaming master
