Forenote to the resumption of blogging after a long haitus

I just wanted to let the readers of this blog know that I will hopefully resume commentary and analysis on issues and events that this blog has always tried to do.

A little more than a year may not seem a long time, but a lot  can happen in this interval and that can possibly change the face of blogging and other social media avenues. A lot of blogging has moved on to Facebook and micro-blogging sites. I am not sure how is the appetite of social media frequenters to go through detailed blog content. But I am hoping macro blogging will not lose its relevance completely.

Many of the blogs that I have followed, have moved to Facebook to pitch and promote their ideas. Topics discussed have also greatly increased in their variety and in terms of critical outreach, there is more than religion to talk about. Feminism, gender relations and gender rights are receiving a lot of attention in such forums. These should provide grist to the blogging mill much more than religious bigotry and politics would do.

While  I was not adding new posts, I was able to respond to many comment-responses and one of these posts is illustrative of the issues involved in convincing theists of what the concept of abiogenesis and how it can be a more credible hypothesis than creationism.

In the coming weeks and days, we will probably get more opportunities to delve into these and other matters.
